The First School Report

Last night Ethan brought home a white envelope which contained his very first school report. This came as a very unexpected surprise as Ethan has only been going to school for 48 days. It feels like everyone else is winding down for the summer and we are only just getting used to the routine of school. I suppose that is what happens when you start halfway through the year.

Still with only 48 days of attending school Ethan had two full pages on his report. It was very positive and confirmed that we have made the correct decision with our school choice for Ethan.

I must admit the school report had me in tears. Tears because I was so proud and tears because my little boy has suddenly grown up so quickly!

It also made me laugh, the following sentences really made me giggle.

‘He is good at climbing and loves our trips to play parks where he will climb up equipment that is very high for his stature.’

‘Ethan is already very capable of programming the equipment in the multisensory room.’

‘Ethan is very popular amongst adults in the school and is already clever enough to get what he wants by using his winning smile.’

I can just imagine Ethan giving everyone the runaround at school and keeping them very much on their toes, especially with the climbing!

  1. Well done Ethan, he’s only been there a relatively short time but sounds like he’s making his mark and settling in well.
Hopefully the long summer break won’t throw him too much, they should hopefully introduce him to his teacher from September, classroom location, TAs etc before the end of term.
