I didn’t write about my Word of the Week last week as I spent most of last Friday glued to the news whilst I watched the chaos of the referendum unfold. My Word of the Week would have been the same as last week as the madness is still unfolding so this week our Word of the Week is
I couldn’t believe the news that I woke up to last Friday, I knew the result would be tight but our country feels that it is time to leave the EU. We have decided to Brexit!
I never thought this would be the result of the referendum and the result hasn’t brought out the best in people. Social media turned into a very nasty place to be and our politicians went into self destruct mode. By the looks of today’s news they are still on this path.
During this the markets also dived and have continued to go up or down depending on the main story in the news. So much has happened in such a short space of time it has been quite exhausting to watch.
I do wonder if the new Prime Minister will actually trigger the start of Brexit but only time will tell. I don’t think Brexit will be an easy path to walk and I do expect some rough times ahead. I only hope that we look back in years to come and say that was the best decision we ever made.
There is definitely a tough time ahead and it worries me that there is a politician out there that can do the job properly, but the decision is made and hopefully we will come out of it with a better future. I wish the decision had been different too.
I stayed away from the social media last week as like what you said its bad and toxic on both sides. Hope that something nice would come out of this election. #wotw

Ahh! I touched on this on my Word of the Week….It has really brought out the worst in some people, especially on social media.

It’s been an unsettling week hasn’t it, I’ve actively avoided the news this week and all the moronic posts on Facebook have been hidden from my timeline. I think we have very tough times ahead. #WotW
