On Friday Ethan was very excited when he came home from school. This was because he had brought a friend home with him. His friend being the class bear. Bringing the class bear home can only mean one thing. Ethan was awarded a Star of the Week.
Ethan was awarded the Star of the Week for making lots of verbal requests. This was a great achievement for him as he is quite unsettled at the moment. When Ethan is unsettled or unsure of anything he will stop using the few words he does have. This can be quite frustrating for us but it’s something we are used to. It is good to know that even though we feel that Ethan is unsettled and all over the place at the moment he is still using his words at school.
I can only put Ethan being unsettled down to the fact that it will soon be the end of the school year. This is the year that he will say goodbye to this class and teachers and move up to a different one. I don’t think this has been mentioned to him yet but I know he is aware of change. I’m hoping he will be happy in his new class.
Ethan really enjoyed having the class bear visit. We didn’t have any plans at the weekend as Darren was working but he did get to take him on a sleep over at nanny’s house. Hopefully the children enjoyed the story about his weekend that I wrote in his diary.
Aww! Well done Ethan. Over the past few years his speech seems to have came on leaps and bounds. You must be so proud x
Bless him 🙂 Well done Ethan! It isn’t easy for them to find their words when they are unsettled so it’s a really big thing that he has managed to. I know if Sir gets really upset/annoyed/frustrated he loses his words completely. #SSAmazingAchievements
