With full tummies and a pit stop at the baby centre to freshen Ethan up it was time to do the thing we had been waiting for. It was time to introduce Ethan to Mickey Mouse!
Mickey Mouse is now based at the Town Square Theatre near the Magic Kingdom entrance so I was worried that there would be a big queue to meet him as the park had been open for over an hour but it was only a five minute wait, I think there was only two people in front of us which was fantastic.
When we were shown into Mickey’s room to wait our turn Ethan could see Mickey and he gave the biggest smile.
This put me at ease as I was worried how Ethan would react to his first official character meeting. I was also worried about how I would react and I thought I was going to be in floods of tears seeing my little boy meet the main man, but thankfully I was fine and got totally caught up in the moment.
After my bad Cinderella experience the plan was that Darren would take Ethan to see Mickey and I would take the photos.
Ethan got excited when it was his turn and run towards Mickey…
…but soon changed his mind and ran away from him. Not through fear but through excitement, Ethan likes to run laps when he gets excited.
Both Ethan and Darren ended up sitting on the floor with Mickey. They also asked Ethan to give Mickey a high five which as you can see he did with help but this was then his thing to do with the characters.
I also made sure I joined in for a family photo.
Ethan’s first meeting with Mickey Mouse went really well and it wasn’t going to be his last…

Lovely! We’ve been to Disneyland Paris a few times and even though our kids are getting bigger, it’s still really magical 🙂
Disney will always be magical :0) I had my first Disney trip at 16 and have been hooked ever since! Not sure we will ever be able to go back but you can always dream…
