Our ADR wasn’t so early this morning as we could only get an 8.30am time so I was expecting Hollywood & Vine to be packed but we were pleasantly surprised. We still had an early start though as we had to use the Disney buses and looking back at the pictures and video we took I can now see how tired Ethan was so I know we left the Halloween party at the right time the night before.
We didn’t have to wait long for the bus and when we arrived at Hollywood Studios we were let straight in. It was completely empty and very quiet so we took a few photos and then made our way to Hollywood & Vine. I was really looking forward to this breakfast ADR as it is with the characters from Disney Junior which included Jake from Jake and the Neverland Pirates which I watch with Ethan but I think I’m the bigger fan out of the two of us.
We were shown to our table right away and offered tea! Now I don’t know if I have just missed it but I have never been offered tea at an American breakfast before so I had to ask our waiter again if he had said tea and he confirmed that he had so we jumped at the chance of tea. We had also discovered tea in our hotel during this trip, again I don’t know if we has missed it before or if it was because we were staying at the Animal Kingdom Lodge but knowing you can go back and have a cup of tea really makes all the difference to the day!
Darren decided to go off in search of our breakfast this morning and whilst he did June from the Little Einsteins came over to say hello, she gave Ethan lots of kisses on the top of his head and he took it really well.
Darren returned with a plate of Mickey waffles and pancakes and whilst we tucked in the characters did a little show, Ethan enjoyed watching Special Agent Oso dancing.
After their performance the characters started to visit the tables again, Oso came over to say hello to us but as you can see Ethan was too busy discovering Darren’s pancakes.
Jake came to visit us next and he spent lots of time with us. He crept up behind Ethan at first tapping Ethan on the shoulder and making a game of peek-a-boo out of it, it was really funny to watch Ethan trying to work out who was tapping him on the shoulder. He also spent time pointing to Ethan’s t-shirt which had a picture of Jake on the front, it was so nice having this interaction with the two of them.
Last but not least Handy Manny came to say hello.
It was so unexpectedly quiet at this restaurant that we were lucky to be visited by Oso and Jake again but by this time Ethan had had enough of saying hello and was two busy investigating the items on the table.
We knew at this point it was time to go and head off to join the mad rush for Toy Story Mania, as we left Hollywood & Vine they offered to take a family photo for us.
We really enjoyed this breakfast ADR and the fact that it was quiet made it feel so relaxed. I didn’t get the chance to see the food selection but if we had the chance we would eat here again. We used two table service credits for this meal and Ethan ate for free. The tip come to $10.
