This is a question that is causing huge debate in our house. Darren is a very light sleeper and Little E likes to make lots of noise when she settles herself down to sleep in the night, therefore keeping Darren awake. I on the other hand have no trouble sleeping through everything, thankfully not my alarm!
When I was pregnant with Ethan I was quite reluctant to buy a Moses basket for him, I wasn’t sure we would use it as we lived in the flat and his room was so close to ours. Taking our mum’s advice we purchased a lovely baby bed for Ethan, and I was so glad we did, as I loved having him sleeping next to us. We would move the Moses basket into the living room during the day and back into our bedroom at night. We got our monies worth out of it.
The question was never raised about when it would be the right time to move Ethan from his Moses basket into his cot because when he was eight weeks old we discovered him like this…
He had decided to show us that he needed more room!
When Little E arrived the Moses basket was the first thing we had ready for her return home, using it as we had before both in the front room and the bedroom.
Now she has reached nine weeks old Darren has raised the own room question. To be honest I’m trying my hardest to avoid giving an answer.
Who can resist having this little lady sleeping by their side each night?
So until she decides to tell us otherwise, or outgrows it, this little lady is staying in the Moses basket by my side.
Tesco provided me with some insights to make this post possible, but all opinions are my own.
