First Tastes Weaning – Making Pear Purée

Weaning has well and truly started for Little E. This means lots of preparation of food for her, but first tastes weaning the Gina Ford way is a slow process. It will take the full two months to work Little E up to three meals a day. I do like doing the first stage of weaning this way as it gives you the chance to work out if your child is allergic to anything.

This weekend saw us make the first batch of Purée’s, we start with pear.

We make the purée’s by cooking the pears and then blending the cooked pieces.

This mixture is then put into ice cube trays and frozen, when cooled, ready for Little E’s meal plan.
