We wanted to visit the zoo this week but the weather stopped our plans. So yesterday we decided to take the scooter out for another outing.
Ethan is starting to gain more confidence on the scooter but unfortunately his balance and coordination can’t quite keep up. It felt like we had to control him more on our walk this time. Thankfully his backpack helped us out. He did fall over quite a few times but thankfully there were no injuries.
We kept to the flattest part of the park and walked past the mill so that Ethan could watch the water. The river was really high because of all the rain on Thursday.
We didn’t stay out to long as the weather started to turn again. It was good to get some fresh air after being kept in because of the rain, Little E even got to take her new coat for a spin.

He is doing really well, just gets a little nosy which can cause some problems! We will try to get to the zoo again next week, we have an annual pass which really helps x
I can imagine how much care you have to take with Ethan on the scooter, but it’s so lovely to see his face enjoying that bit of independence. My son just cannot get the hang of a scooter at all-his co-ordination and motor skills aren’t keeping up with the rest of him at the moment!
I was never expecting Ethan to take to the scooter, if he can do it I’m sure your son can. The age for it was 3+ so at 4 and a half Ethan isn’t too far behind the recommended age. We are so proud of him x

It was really string and high. We saw ducks having trouble on the river, it really highlighted its power x

That scooter looks good. How old was he when you first got it . I keep thinking J needs one
We only got it last week, never expected him to be able to use one. They say from age 3 on the box. Ethan is four and a half but has delays x

It is, he just has to gain a bit more control until we are happy with letting him fly free ;0) It could take a while but the more we go out with it the better he will get x
