Word Of The Week – Sad

This week our word of the week is

Sad

It started with the sad and shocking news from Paris. I was in London when 7/7 took place and the feelings that attacks like these bring back is terrible. I feel sad for the world we live in at the moment and we can only hope that the powers that be can somehow resolve it.

On Tuesday we said goodbye to Darren’s great-aunt as it was her funeral. It was sad to say goodbye.

Both of these events have brought back my feelings of anxiety. I have developed a terrible fear of death, which stems from a fear of leaving my children. I know this is something I have to work on but I also know it will take time.

Little E has also been sad as she is teething. She has gone off of food and is wanting to be held more than normal, especially when she is tired.

It’s felt like a very long week and I’m looking forward to the weekend.

  1. Oh no, a tough week. The atrocities in the world are leaving a mark on everyone, I think. Sorry that you’ve had your own sadness and anxiety to contend with, too. I do hope you manage to have a more relaxed weekend x Thanks for sharing with #WotW

  2. So sorry to hear about Darren’s great-aunt passing away and with all the horrifying world news this week, it is not surprising that you feel more anxious. Hope Little E’s teeth come through soon and she feels better – it is hard when they are teething. Hope this weekend will be gentle to you and that you will feel more positive next week x

  3. I don’t blame you about feeling sad and anxious in these times. I too had to be in London on Saturday with the children (we had theatre tickets booked) and heading in the day after those awful attacks made me feel very anxious for my children. I hope you’ve managed to have lots of hugs and cuddles with your children this weekend. Enjoy your Sunday
    xx

Oh hun, so sorry you feel sad. I think a lot of people feel sad about Paris. Just remember their are more good people jn the world then bad. #wotw

  5. As someone who has had panic attacks due to thinking of that fear you mention I can sympathise. My daughter is also going through teething and is quite grumpy with it. #WotW
