Me & Mine November 2016

We are more than half way through December and Christmas Day is less than a week away, and I still haven’t written my Me and Mine post for November. With all the preparation for Christmas and having both children in an education setting we have been run off our feet and blogging has had to take a bit of a back seat. I also didn’t get a chance to take our November photo at the end of the month and wanted to take it on the first weekend in December but I was hit with the winter sickness bug. We did take our family photo after the weekend but with preparation for our weekend at Center Parcs I just didn’t get the time to blog.

So here it is, a selfie of us taken on the Santa Express at the Christmas Wonderland in St John’s Plant Centre in Clacton.

With Darren’s shifts mostly falling on the weekends during November we spent a lot of time at home with the children but it meant that we were able to run our Christmas errands in he week. I also spent a lot of time sorting out through the toys and donated quite a few items to Ethan’s school.

Ethan has been settled at school but they started learning their Christmas songs for their concert right after the October half term. During the weeks of November I started to hear Ethan sing his Christmas songs. I was able to work out that there was a song about a little brown donkey that clip clops. He wasn’t singing it at school but by the end of the month Ethan had brought home a ‘Star of the Week’ for his fantastic singing.

This month Little E joined us to watch the local firework display on Guy Fawkes night. We can view the local display from our house and for the past few years she has stayed in the house with Darren. This year we all watched the fireworks as a fmaily. She called the fireworks flowers and didn’t last for the whole show but she didn’t cry from the noise either. Little E has also really enjoyed her time at nursery and loves the time with her keyworker. She even asks for her on her non-nursery days. We are getting a growing collection of nursery artwork on our fridge too.

We really feel like it has really been non-stop for the past few months and I know I’m looking forward to a quieter January.
