Word Of The Week – Sports Day

This week my word of the week has to be

sports day

as I went to both Ethan’s and Little E’s sports days. Both days were different for me and each enjoyable in their own way. I loved having a picnic lunch with Ethan and seeing him happy with his school friends. It’s very comforting to know he is happy at school and it confirms we made the correct choice for him. I found his actual sports activities hard as Ethan was all over the place. He actually kept trying to tidy up some of the activities as they were being played. I was glad when it was over to be honest and I wasn’t the only one that found it hard. There were quite a few upset children by the end of it. I really hope that next year they change the format a little bit.

Little E’s sports day was her very first sports day and she did so well. There were different races for her to take part in and we also had a picnic lunch. Little E really enjoyed being outside in the sun and she loved all the running. She also loved saying hello to all of the dogs in the area.

Having two sports days to attend has made my week very busy. We have also got to prepare for Little E’s birthday next week and to be honest I haven’t been on top of ordering things online like I normally am. This meant that I actually had to go into shops today to get the things I need. I also had a meeting to attend for our swimming club and it was also our parents evening this week. So basically my juggling continued as it normally does. I do wonder sometimes if everyone juggle’s their life like I do or if it’s just me?!

  1. Sounds like a busy week of juggling for you. I’m glad you enjoyed the very different Sports Days, and are now on top of Little E’s birthday – I hate having to go to actual shops, we’re so used to online, aren’t we?! Thanks for sharing with #WotW x

  2. Sports day can be overwhelming for the little ones sometimes, our school have simplified theirs so it’s easy for all the children to take part. As for juggling, I should have a diploma in it, you are certainly not alone ! Have a lovely weekend. #WotW
