Word Of The Week – Snow

This week our word of the week has to be

Snow

as it snowed on Sunday and Monday.

The snow was better on Sunday. We didn’t wake up to a winter wonderland but it snowed enough to settle. The children had fun running around in the snow. They also built a snowman with daddy. It was lovely to watch, I was on camera duty to capture the memories. I do love it when it snows.

On Monday the weather said that it would rain but it snowed all afternoon. It didn’t really settle too much but it was bad enough to make you cautious when driving.

Our schools didn’t close because of the snow so we didn’t get any extra days with the children this week.

It has been another busy week this week for us. We were invited to Audley End House last night to see the Enchanted Christmas Gardens. We haven’t visited there before and it was very pretty. We would like to return in the day time so see the house and the grounds.

We also had Ethan’s Christmas concert today. I thought that last year would be the last time he took part in the Nativity but they changed the show a bit this year. Ethan was amazing and he decided he would be on the stage for every scene. He also sang his heart out to every song. A very different boy from past performances.

It was Little E’s last day of nursery today. She is officially on the countdown to Christmas. Ethan has a few more days of school left. I’m looking forward to having some time alone with her and I have plans to make some cakes together. Something that we haven’t really done on our own.

  1. Ah yes, we’ve had plenty of snow here this week, enough to close the schools. It is pretty, but the chaos it causes means I’ve had enough of it! Glad the concert went well, enjoy your baking x Thanks for sharing with #WotW
