Nicki explains how she hopes her book will encourage children to get out into the fresh air

“We live in an age where technology is so prevalent in our lives more than ever. Children from a young age are choosing to sit indoors playing computer games rather than getting outdoors and being active. This coupled with poor diet, has sadly had an impact on the rise of childhood obesity. I wanted to write a light-hearted tale that gently touches on the importance of getting outside, of being active, of enjoying childhood as it should be. Playing with friends and having fun.”

What Do We Love About Fat Cat and the Chocolate Sandwich

Little E loves cats, I knew this book would be a huge hit with her. We both love the humour in this book and the repetitive rhyme of the story. I always find that the children engage more with the story when it rhymes.

We love the illustrations in the book by Sarah Rogers. They really help to bring the story to life.

What we also love is that 10% of the profit from the sales of this book is donated to the Poole NICU, Dorset.
