Word Of The Week – Toys

    word of the week

This week my word of the week has to be toys as I visited the Toy Fair in London on Tuesday. I had never been to the toy fair before. A few months ago I registered for the press day. I never thought that I would be accepted as media but I was! As we had been asked to review so many toys lately I thought I might get the chance to meet the people we have worked with in person. At the Toy Fair to visit the big names in the industry you have to make appointments. Thankfully another blogger I know was arranging meetings for a group of…

Word Of The Week – Poorly

    word of the week

This week, like last, took another unexpected turn as Ethan became poorly on Monday night. He hasn’t been sleeping that well. That is the norm in our house to have disturbed sleep but since the end of the Christmas holidays, Ethan has been wanting our company before 9 pm. On Monday night Ethan was up again at 8.30pm complaining of a headache. We settled him back down but before 10 pm he was awake again and this time he was sick. Worried about Little E’s school run I quickly called my mum to ask if she could help us in the morning. I didn’t know how long Ethan’s sickness would…

Word Of The Week – Unexpected

    word of the week

I love taking part in the weekly linky Word of the Week. I like that it captures my mood for the week and it feels like writing a diary. Last year was hard for me with Ethan’s throwing and I lost my blogging routine as we tried to keep up with life. The lovely Raisie Bay now hosts the linky and my aim this year is to hopefully join in every week again. This week my word of the week is Unexpected. Ethan returned to school last Friday but Little E didn’t have to be back until Monday. This meant our routine of school runs didn’t start until this week.…

Word Of The Week – Busy

    word of the week

The past two weeks have flown by for us because we have been so The first Monday after our Easter break started off with an unexpected high as Little E got a place at our first choice primary school. We really didn’t expect to get the first choice but we are so glad she has a place there. We do have to work out how to get two children to two different schools which will be interesting. Our second school choice would have made this a little easier but I’m looking forward to being able to walk one of my children to school each day. On the Tuesday my work…

Word Of The Week – Respite

    word of the week

This week even though it is still the Easter holidays Ethan has spent most of it at school. If we are lucky sometimes they offer a holiday club. This helps keep him busy and offers us some respite. Which is why our word of the week has to be I do always feel guilty when we put Ethan’s name down for holiday club days but we do think he enjoys his time there. They get taken out on trips and they get lots of time to play. Sending him on these days also means I’m not totally worn out by the end of the holidays. Having a very poor sleeper…
