Is It Christmas Yet? By Jane Chapman

LittleTigerChristmasBooks1

Is it Christmas yet? is a board book so it was perfect for Little E to review. It’s a charming tale of little Ted excited that Christmas is coming but it is taking forever to arrive. It shares all of the Christmas preparations and the excitement that comes with it. Perfect for little ones to enjoy and also be prepared for the Christmas countdown.

I loved the illustrations in this book, a very short and sweet story.

The Magical Snow Garden By Tracey Corderoy and Jane Chapman

LittleTigerChristmasBooks5

This is a lovely story about a penguin called Wellington who dreams of growing a garden in the snow. His friends tell him it’s impossible but he proves them wrong. Unfortunately his first garden is destroyed by a storm but his friends soon help him achieve his dream.

This book also has lovely illustrations and is very colourful and bright.

I really enjoyed this book, Bear is sure that Santa Claus will pay him and his friends a visit but Badger isn’t convinced. Bear talks his friends into preparing for Santa’s arrival, Santa will come if they show him they are here.  The moral of this story is to ‘Never Stop Believing!’

This is Ethan’s favorite book of the bundle, I think because it is very visual having lots of pages with Father Christmas on. A classic story brought to life with beautiful illustrations. A must have read for Christmas Eve.

Little E loves looking at this book as it is a touch and feel book, Little Hedgehog’s soft hat features on every page. This is another lovely story of friendship. After a stormy snowy night Little Hedgehog sets off to make sure his friends are alright. It soon turns out that Little Hedgehog needs help in the snow.

This book was too old for our children but would be perfect for a child learning to read and moving away from picture books. It contains ten short animal stories and also includes lovely illustrations.

The Storm Leopards By Holly Webb

This was another book that was too old for my children so will be put away for when they are older. Again this book would be perfect for a child learning to read and moving away from picture books. This story is about a little girl called Isabelle who is captivated by a snow leopard she spotted at the zoo. She is soon whisked into her very own magical snow leopard adventure.
