A photo a day, every day, for a year! This is my post for the year 2021 Week 18. Being a four-day working week this week flew by. Darren only had to work three days out of his normal four. He took a day off as a holiday so we could celebrate Ethan’s birthday. This also made our week feel shorter.
Project 365 – 2021 Week 18
A Saturday of ironing for me and Darren taking Ethan to his swimming club. Saturdays are really turning into our home days. I’m hoping as time goes on Sundays will be our day for going out.
Little E has grown so much over the past year I took her into town to get some new summer bits. She likes to pick her own items and this is the best way to shop for her. I have never been a big shopper and always embraced online shopping. We visited three shops before I found it overwhelming. Little E was happy with her new shorts and t-shirts.
All caterpillars have turned into chrysalis. It was time to move them into their butterfly garden.
For some reason, I didn’t take a photo today. Perhaps the bank holiday threw me out? It was however Star Wars day. I ordered Little E a new Raya and the Last Dragon Sisu dress from Shop Disney. This meant I qualified for the free Disney Celebration Key. I have a few of these keys now, I think I might now be classed as a Disney key collector!
Little E’s broad bean plant is nearly as tall as her. It now also has flowers. I wonder if we will actually get some beans.
I promised Little E she could pick Ethan’s birthday cake. So we took the bus into town again so she could pick one from Marks and Spencer’s. She went for the same chocolate cake that I got for myself. We also got a try cake for Ethan to take to school. I couldn’t resist getting some Colin the Caterpillar cupcakes too.
Darren had a delivery in Dover today. He has been there a few times and I always tell him to look out for the Disney Magic. It’s not the best photo but he spotter her today. She has been at Dover for most of the past year just waiting for guests. Hopefully, people will be able to return to cursing soon.

I’m starting to think you’re a collector of all things Disney, not just keyrings. Happy Birthday to Ethan and love Little E’s beans, looks like it’ll produce some for sure
Little E really is looking so grown up. It sounds like she had fun shopping.
How exciting to see the changes in the caterpillars and the Disney boat x
I’ve had to get N various clothing items too. He had only 1 pair of non sports shorts that fit, and needed some jumpers and t shirts too. But have just done a little online shopping so far. Could do with seeing what’s in the shops themselves though.
the broad bean plant is looking very impressive. Love the whole butterfly life cycle as you know #365
We have done all shopping online and I still don’t feel ready to face the shops! I have been thinking about getting a butterfly farm as my eldest is fascinated by insects and we currently have the class ants here. #project365
I love how happy Ethan looks at swimming and hope Little E enjoyed her shopping trip. Her broad bean plant is doing beautifully – those flowers are so pretty. Hope Ethan had a lovely birthday. #project365
I am finding the weeks are flying by at the moment. I am very impressed with Little E’s broad bean it looks very healthy. Hopefully, you will get beans, we need to uncover ours so they get pollinated. I am still very much online shopping at the moment.
The flowers look interesting on the broad bean plant, hope you get some beans soon! We tend to have lazy at home Saturdays, but I am hoping we get out a bit more soon. Hope Ethan enjoyed his birthday cake.
