Sunnysands Beach Hut Hire at Walton-on-the-Naze

Ethan’s eleventh birthday was approaching and lockdown restrictions were still in place. I had no idea how we could make the day different for him. His tenth birthday was celebrated in our garden with a special afternoon tea treat. I was hoping we could perhaps plan a soft play visit but they would still be closed. On social media, I noticed that Millies Beach Huts would soon be realising the booking dates for May and June. Why hadn’t I thought of a birthday beach hut day before? Thankfully I was able to book the Sunnysands beach hut for Ethan’s actual birthday.

Having been lucky enough to review the Minnie Mouse beach hut I knew the Sunnysands beach hut wouldn’t disappoint. The beach huts you hire from Millie’s Beach Huts contain everything you need for the perfect day at the beach. You can even make yourself cups of tea on the little gas stove whilst you are there.

The Sunnysands Beach Hut Location

Sunnysands can be found at Walton-on-the-Naze. It is approximately a five-minute walk from Walton pier and has a front-row location. There are toilets opposite the pier but we used the toilet block located further down the promenade. They are in the opposite direction from the pier. There is also a water tap nearby which you can use to fill the water container.

What About Parking?

We parked on a local street as we knew the beach would be quiet. There is a local car park on Church Road which we would pay to use on a busy summers day.

We knew that by booking one of Millie’s Beach Huts we would have everything we need to have a full day at the beach. Even with the threat of rain all day we knew we would be happy in our chosen beach hut. Drinking tea, having hot dogs for lunch and watching the world go by.
