    Happy 2nd Birthday Ethan’s Escapades

Today our little piece of the Internet turns two years old! I can’t believe how quickly this past year has flown by and how much has changed in that short space of time.  This year has been one big roller coaster ride for our little family. We have had some very good highs but it has been a battle to get there.  We battled with the education system and we were very lucky for Ethan to be awarded a place at a special school. This adventure we are yet to start. We were very lucky to be awarded a grant from the family fund, and were able to spend precious…

Spending Time With Our Australian Family – Disneyland Paris Day 2

What a difference a day makes! After our first morning was full of rain and we got soaked feet very quickly, our second morning blessed us with a bright and clear day. We were up early for breakfast in the hotel, Ethan was still refusing to eat anything offered to him so Darren went in search of a banana but there was none to be found! We even stopped in the train station when we got off of the bus but they didn’t have any for sale either. Ethan would again have to eat the snacks we had brought with us. I made everyone stop for some dryer group photos,…

Happy Christmas From Our House To Yours

You may have noticed it’s been a bit quiet on the blog this month. We have been busy preparing Ethan for Christmas, the change in routine has taken its toll but I’m really hoping that he has a great day tomorrow. I’m keeping everything crossed that this is the year he opens his own Christmas presents without any help, next year we can work on understanding Santa’s job on Christmas Eve! So from our house to yours, we wish you all a very Happy Christmas and hope 2014 is a fantastic year for you all.

Spending Time With Our Australian Family – Disneyland Paris Day 1 Continued – Disney Magic on Parade!

After having a break at the hotel and warming the kids up, we headed back over to the Disneyland Park to watch the parades and have some dinner.  We caught the bus and made it into the park just before the parade was about to start, so we quickly secured our viewing spot. Thankfully the rain had now stopped and the sky had cleared during the afternoon.                                                  I was very impressed with the parade, before I have thought that had been quite poor compared to the…

Spending Time With Our Australian Family – Disneyland Paris Day 1

This week we went on our unexpected Disney trip to spend time with Darren’s sister and her family. It would be the first time Ethan would be able to spend time with his cousins, and we have no idea when this will happen again. This trip was made possible by The Family Fund and our Virgin Atlantic Air Miles, we are very grateful.   We had travelled to Paris the day before on the Eurostar, but as there wasn’t any seats left on the direct train we had to travel into Paris and then make our way to Disneyland. I didn’t capture any photos of our travel day, as you…
