Halloween Walk At The Country Park

Our country park holds lots of event’s through the year and I always plan on going, but something always gets in the way! So I was determined to take Ethan for the self-guided Halloween walk. It was described as having a trail to follow and was advertised for over four year olds. I was a little worried if Ethan would understand the trail if we had to follow and collect clues. When we arrived we went to the visitor centre to collect the map. I was pleased to see that it was a lotto game and we had to spot the pictures along the trail. Perfect for our little guy.…

Enjoying The Fresh Air, Letting Off Steam!

Last weekend the weather was lovely and in our quest to keep Ethan busy we actually spent sometime in the great outdoors. Yes it may have just been in our garden at points, but we were out and Ethan was enjoying himself.  On Saturday we decided to let Ethan has his main birthday present early so that he had something to do in the garden. We had decided to buy him a slide as he loves them when we visit the park but it’s getting harder for me to take him there with the growing bump.    I think we can safely say Ethan likes his new slide. I really…

    Little Adventures, New Discoveries

Dear Barny,    Thank you for sending my Mummy some of your lovely bear-shaped sponge snacks for us to try. I had lots of fun trying both of the scrummy flavours – Chocolate and Milk. I think I like Chocolate the bestest.  Mummy likes them because they are individually wrapped, she can take them with her wherever we go. She also told Daddy they have no artificial colours or preservatives which she says is very good.    You set my Mummy a Little Adventures Challenge this is what we got up to…   Feeding The Duck’s I like feeding the ducks so we paid them a visit.      …

    Hello Sunshine!

The sun made another appearance this weekend and I was so excited about being able to go out and about but unfortunately Ethan was poorly so we had to spend Saturday indoors so he could recover. Thankfully Ethan picked up a bit by Sunday so we headed over to our country park to get some fresh air in the sunshine. Surprisingly it wasn’t as busy as we expected it to be so we let Ethan into the children’s play area first so he could explore, he headed to the swing first.    Darren spun Ethan in circles which is what he enjoys to do best, then it was time to tackle the bridge and make sure…

    Our Country Park

On Sunday we decided to find our local country park as we have yet to visit it since we moved here at the start of the year. We ended up driving round the long way to find the entrance to the car park and it turns out that it is less than five minutes away from us.    There are two playgrounds there for children, one for the over eights and one for the under eights. There is also a mini climbing wall if your children are really brave enough! It was nice and quiet so Ethan got to have some fun on the swing.    The wooded area opens up to…
