Word Of The Week – Dining

This week our word of the week has to be

as all week, well for the past few months we have been talking about restaurants that we want to eat in.

Fingers crossed, we will be visiting Walt Disney World at the end of this year. It’s a trip to mark our (early) ten-year wedding anniversary. We always wanted to return in 2018 but life timing made this year the better year. We booked when the free dining offer was on so we have lots of restaurants to choose from.

Today marked our 180 days which means you have to book where you want to eat. Walt Disney World is all about the planning and for the past month we have worked on our plan of action. This past week we have really had to narrow it down so that I would be ready to book our choices at 11 am today.

We have picked some of our firm favorites, some new ones and some we have wanted to try for a while. There are also lots and lots of character meals. We might have even overdone the character meals. I say might!

Our return to Disney will definitely be a challenge this time around. We are further into our autism journey and Ethan is more aware of his surroundings. He is also now able to be more vocal in what he wants and doesn’t want to do. We are also more aware of what causes him anxiety. We also knows that queuing isn’t his thing. It will have its ups and downs but it will be a fantastic learning curve for him.

This time we have Little E, everything will be new to her and we will also be going through those interesting toddler years. I know she won’t remember this trip as she gets older but we will remember all those fantastic moments created.

So with all of these things in mind our dining plans have been made accordingly.

  1. Oh wow, how exciting. I hadn’t realised there was this level of planning involved, though it sounds like lovely planning! Glad you’re all decided and booked now. Thanks for sharing with #WotW

  2. Making dinner plans is always good – any opportunity to talk about food and I’m there!!
How lovely you’ll be spending time as a family in Disney Land. It’ll be magical for the kids!
