This week our word of the week is
as we have spent this week giving our front room a makeover.
It all started when we decided to order a new sofa. Our old sofa was purchased before I fell pregnant with Ethan and it has had to put up with a lot over the years. It had been used as a trampoline for too many times and it had finally given up. We must have fancied a change as our new sofa was ordered in a totally different colour from our front room colour scheme. This has meant that we have also ordered new carpet, curtains and our front room has been painted a whole new colour.
We also had to move our TV and therefore ordered a new TV unit. We now also have room for a little side table, something that we have never had. I might even treat myself to a table lamp to go on it!
So our front room has had a total makeover and it did take us a while to decide if we liked the position of all of our new furniture but we do love our new front room.
Ethan did handle the change quite well but he did have a meltdown yesterday morning that we can only put down to his uncertainty with what has been going on over the past week. He was very quick to tell us that the house was a ‘mess’ and we ‘made it better’ when items were moved back into place. I do think he is happy with his new front room, lets hope this sofa isn’t used as a trampoline just yet.
Sounds exciting! I love a room makeover and it sounds like you’ve gone for it! Yes, treat yourself to a lamp! Thanks for sharing with #WotW x
Ohh! How exciting….It sounds lovely.
Ahh! Poor Ethan…He’s had a lot going on this week with going back to school too. I’m glad he’s a little happier now. x
It does sound like quite a makeover. Glad you are all pleased with it. The table light sounds a good idea. Fingers crossed for the sofa not being turned into a trampoline. #wotw
I’ts always lovely to have a makeover. I did my living room before Christmas last year but I have always wanted a new TV but have not been able to afford one… there’s always something else more important that needs buying. I hope your settee remains jump free for a long while 🙂
I suppose it is better to make the changes all at once, I am glad Ethan is settling into it well, the odd meltdown is the be expected, enjoy your new room x
Awww I am so jealous as my sofa is asking for a rest now haha. #wotw
