As part of being a magazine.co.uk approved blogger we were sent a copy of Story Box – Who Stole Big Jack’s Diamond? for review.
Story Box is a monthly magazine that is aimed at children. It’s aim is to share the joy of reading with your child.
I loved the quality of paper this magazine is printed on. It’s thicker than normal magazines and you could easily build up a nice collection of these over the months. This isn’t a magazine that I would buy and quickly dispose of.
This months issue is definitely in theme with it being the summer holidays. With pirate stories, stories about camping and trips to the sea it is perfect for getting your little one in the holiday spirit.
I loved the bright colourful illustrations and the text is the perfect size for children learning to read.
In this issue there are also tips about how to be safe in the sun.
There is also a discovery section that teaches you all about sharks and their habitat.
And for children that are ready there is also a story made up of just pictures so that you can tell the story in your own words.
Not forgetting some fun games based around the theme to keep your little ones amused.
I think this magazine is a great purchase. Ethan loved the stories and they were the perfect length to hold his attention. Each magazines retails at £5.50.
