Our Mini Dig Kit Experience
This kit comes with one tool to help excavate the shark’s tooth. Use one end of the tool to dig into the clay shark. The other end is a brush. Use this to help brush away the excess clay.
It didn’t take long for us to see the first sign of the hidden shark tooth.
You have to be really careful removing the tooth from the plaster shark.
It wasn’t long before we were able to remove the shark tooth from its plaster home.
Our Thoughts On This National Geographic Dig Kit
This mini kit is the perfect introduction to the National Geographic dig kits. Containing one item to excavate it doesn’t take as long and doesn’t end up as messy as the other kits we reviewed. We were all very excited to discover what we would find in the plaster shark. We knew we would find a sharks tooth but wondered what shape and size it would be. The tooth’s cutting edge was also sharp, proving to us that we did just dig up a real sharks tooth.
