We were sent some Lindt chocolate to sample.
We got to try the following fantastic flavours
- Cookies & Cream
- Strawberry Cheesecake
- Caramel Brownie
- Crunchy Nougat and
- Salted Caramel
Darren is a nightmare when it comes to chocolate, and tea and chocolate are the only things that are keeping me going at the moment so the samples were a welcomed treat. We were able to contain ourselves and had one chocolate as a treat each day. This is what we thought of the chocolate –
Cookies & Cream
The filling of this chocolate has tiny bits of crunchy cookie mixed with the cream style filling. If you love this flavor as ice cream you will adore this chocolate. It was a hit with the family. I personally found the chocolate a little rich after two pieces so I wouldn’t be able to eat a whole bar in one sitting. Darren on the other hand had no problem with this!
Strawberry Cheesecake
The filling of this chocolate has tiny bits of crunchy strawberry mixed with the cheesecake style filling. This is my favourite ice cream flavor and the chocolate tastes amazing. I did also find this chocolate a little rich after two pieces but this could be used as a positive thing so that you don’t eat all of the chocolate in one go.
Caramel Brownie
This chocolate was filled with caramel and it was lovely. I found this bar very easy to eat and we all quickly devoured this bar between us. Even Ethan kept asking for more.
Crunchy Nougat
The filling of this chocolate has tiny bits of crunchy nougat mixed with a milk chocolate filling. This flavour was also very easy to eat and it was easy to fight over the last piece!
Salted Caramel
This chocolate was also filled with caramel and you could taste the salt in it. It wasn’t overpowering and Ethan also enjoyed eating this one so you didn’t have to have an acquired taste to enjoy it.
Our Verdict: We enjoyed trying all of these Lindt chocolates but the Caramel Brownie and Salted Caramel were easily my favourite flavours. I wouldn’t say no to any of them I just found these versions easier to eat in one sitting. Darren could easily have demolished all of the bars by himself.
Each chocolate bar had ten pieces, which was more than enough for us all to share. I think these bars are perfect for a special treat. They also make individual bars which would be perfect to take in a lunch box.
We really enjoyed sampling these new Lindt flavours and would treat ourselves to this chocolate in the future.
