Being an autism family we have had to learn to think outside the box when it comes to meeting Ethan’s needs. Now there is a new children’s animation on CBeebies that encourages young children to do just that. Children will be able to join Team Tinpo in their problem-solving adventures. Using trial-and-error children will learn to think outside the box to help the citizens of Tinpotown.
What Is Tinpo?
The new Tinpo animation follows Team Tinpo as they solve problems that arise for the people of Tinpotown.
Tinpo is produced by Cloudco Entertainment, OLM and Dentsu Japan. The stories are written by Davey Moore of Thomas & Friends and Emma Hogan who created Nelly & Nora. The Team Tinpo heroes are…
Tinpo
Logi-Po
Doug-Po
and Hack-Po
Tinpo is full of fun colourful characters, entertaining and engaging story lines to hold your children’s attention. As well as creative problem-solving through trial-and-error.
What Did We Love About Tinpo?
The children were sent some sweet treats and given access to some of the latest episodes of Tinpo. Together they sat and watched the new Tinpo episodes.
The children were gripped from the start. They loved the stories and the Tinpo train. Both children found it easy to follow Team Tinpo’s problem-solving ideas. Even if the first idea didn’t solve the problem.
I liked that Team Tinpo used easy to understand touchscreen technology to show the viewers their ideas. This really helped hold the children’s attention as they could relate to it.
I love the design and colour of the characters and the citizens of Tinpotown. Tinpotown reminds me of building blocks, it has a crisp and clean design. Which I think adds to the children’s understanding of the problem-solving activities.
I love that Tinpo is teaching our children that it is OK not to get something right the first time. If at first you don’t succeed, try, try again!
You can watch Tinpo every day on CBeebies at 06.55am and 3.55pm. It is also available to watch on BBC iPlayer.
