We had never watched a Thomas movie before but Ethan loves watching Thomas the Tank Engine on You Tube. He even knows some of the songs so I knew this would be a film that he might enjoy. I had also seen an interview with Peter Andre about the new film as he is voicing one of the characters. I was interested to see how his role would fit into the movie.
What is Thomas & Friends, Big World! Big Adventures about?
The Movie follows Thomas on his most epic journey ever as he decides to leave Sodor and fulfil his dream of seeing the world. His action-packed adventure begins when a mischievous little racing car called Ace (Peter Andre) comes to Sodor and inspires Thomas to embark on the ambitious trip without the Fat Controller’s permission!
The movie sees Thomas travel across five continents through jungles, deserts and dangerous mountains. Thomas makes new friends on his journey including Nia a tank engine from Kenya. Thomas has so much to learn about the world and Nia will teach him a valuable lesson about the true meaning of friendship.
Our Thoughts on Thomas & Friends, Big World! Big Adventures
As a family we really enjoyed this movie. I found it very educational leaning about the different continents and what you can find there. There were different terrains and many different animals included on the journey. The children also loved the very catchy songs used throughout including one sang by Peter Andre’s character.
The movie also has a very good moral story to learn about the meaning of true friendship. The children could easily relate to it with the story-line used.
Thomas & Friends Big World! Big Adventures was a great family movie that we all enjoyed. Being it was out very first Thomas movie we were impressed with it and how it also held the children’s attention. I’m glad we got the chance to visit the cinema together to see it.
Thomas & Friends Big World! Big Adventures is out now in cinemas.
