What a difference a day makes! After our first morning was full of rain and we got soaked feet very quickly, our second morning blessed us with a bright and clear day.
We were up early for breakfast in the hotel, Ethan was still refusing to eat anything offered to him so Darren went in search of a banana but there was none to be found! We even stopped in the train station when we got off of the bus but they didn’t have any for sale either. Ethan would again have to eat the snacks we had brought with us.
I made everyone stop for some dryer group photos, we have no idea when we will all be in the same country again! Ethan had already decided that it was too cold to be walking and was warm and toasty in his buggy.
I loved the details on the Christmas tree, Darren made sure I had a photo taken under it.
Then we made our way up Main Street taking photos of the castle along the way and stopping for the must have group castle shot!
With the sun rising it lit up the castle and left the hub in shadow, I love the way these photos turned out, we even remembered to have a family photo taken.
Our first stop of the day was Discoveryland for Buzz Lightyear Laser Blast as that was H’s favourite.
It somehow turned into a boys against girls ride and I’m very pleased to say that we thrashed the boys. I have no idea how we did it but we both hit a target that made our scores rocket. I had to take a photo of our scores just to rub it in remember our achievement!
Next it was time for the boys to go on Orbitron, this was a first for both us and Ethan. We never went on this in Florida as it is up quite high and we have never really worked out how to join the queue.
Our next stop was It’s A Small World, this is an either you love it or you hate it ride and I was pleasantly surprised at the Christmas touches added. There were dolls dressed up for Christmas and even the ride music was changed for the season.
We took another spin on Dumbo and the mums took the boys for a flight on Peter Pan before finding a place to warm up and wait for the other areas of the park to open.
It wasn’t long before we could make our way to Adventureland, I love this part of the park it’s a shame they haven’t made an area like this in Walt Disney World.
The boys all headed off to ride Pirates of the Caribbean whilst the girls had a gossip!
We had picked up fast passes for Space Mountain earlier that morning so the guys could ride it and it was their time slot so we sent them off whilst we took a slow walk with the children to meet them at the exit.
We stopped along the way to treat ourselves to some popcorn. I have to smile now because Ethan wouldn’t even try it and now, six months later, we fight to get the popcorn from Ethan. I actually have to hide the bags we buy because its now Ethan’s favourite snack.
Next the boys wanted to take H on Star Tours, Ethan is too small for this so we took a look around the shop and then waited in the exit to keep warm.
We even found WAll-E and EVE on the way.
The morning had flown past and we had to make our way to Cafe Mickey as we had a lunch reservation booked so it was time to leave the park.
