I knew that Little E would love to find out more about the new Scruff-a-Luvs collection. She was sent a lovely bundle from the Scruff Surprise Vet Rescue pet rescue range to review.

What Is The Scruff Surprise Vet Rescue Range?
This new collectible range has been inspired by heart-warming social videos of homeless and scruffy animals. Animals being adopted, cared for, and brought back to health. Scruff-a-Luvs have created a whole new world of adore-a-ball little Scruff Surprise animals to rescue and care for.

There are over 24 pets who need your help. Each one comes snuggled inside their very own doctor’s bag.
Open the bag and transform it into a safe pet bed.
Unwrapping the blanket to discover a little bundle of fluff. Little E was lucky to discover a Narwhal and a Spaniel inside her doctor’s bags.

Make Your Pet Better
The next step is to work out what is wrong with your pet. Each pet comes with their own ‘make me well’ accessory which will help to heal them. Little E’s Narwhal has been sick and he came with a sponge to help clean him up.
Her Spaniel came with a thermometer as he had a temperature. All you need to do is wipe or rub away your pet’s ailments.

Scruff Surprise Vet Rescue Family
There are also animal families to rescue with the Scruff Surprise Vet Rescue Family range. There are four families to collect all hiding inside First Aid Bags.
The bags open and transform into a full playset. Little E was sent the dog family pack so her first aid bag turned into a grooming salon playset including a chair and shower. Everything she needs to make the dog family better.
Little E was very lucky as she discovered baby twins inside her first aid bag. The family also had fleas that she had to rub away to make her family feel better.

Scruff Surprise Vet Rescue Ambulance
The Scruff Surprise Vet Rescue Ambulance is the perfect vehicle to collect all of those sick Scruff animals.
The ambulance sides fold down to transform it into the perfect playset to help rescue your pets. It also comes with a roll-out reclining doctor’s bed and has lots of seats for you to display and play with up to 10 of your pets.
The Scruff Surprise Vet Rescue Ambulance also comes with an exclusive sausage dog who has rainbow hair. The sausage dog has the flu, a broken heart, and a broken leg.
You heal your sausage dog using the supplied sponge to rub away his illness and the plaster cast to fix his broken leg.

What Does Little E Love About This Range?
Little E is really into animals and looks up rescuing animals on YouTube so these sets fit perfectly into her role play. She is very keen to help the animals and make them well again. Little E did find some of the initial healing of the animals quite hard but all you need is the heat of your fingers or the sponge to make the animals better.
She loves the surprise element of the doctor bags and I think she would happily continue to collect these.
The mini playset from the family range is a hit but Little E played with the ambulance playset for longer periods of time.
She loves that the animals are fluffy just like the big Scruff-a-luvs she has played with this little animals for many hours over the school summer holidays.
What Do I Love About This Range?
I love that the doctor’s bag collectible has a very competitive price point. These little toys are easily obtainable with a few weeks of pocket money. They have created a good selection to collect and the collector sheets make you aware that they will be more animals available soon.
There are four animal families to collect and it is easy to identify which family you are buying. So children will still have the surprise element with these toys but there isn’t a chance of getting any doubles.
Little E plays for ages with the ambulance set. She did complain that it didn’t include real seat-belts to hold the animals in but for its price range the toy does what you expect it to do. It will be interesting to see if they expand the range of accessories available. I’m sure Little E would love to grow her new collection.
