The children were asked if they would like to review a Teddy Bear Making Kit from Be My Bear. After getting the chance to make-a-bear during their Marsh Farm Christmas visit they were excited to pick their very own bear to build. Be My Bear
Winnie The Pink Kitty
Being the cat lover that she is Little E picked Winnie the Pink Kitty. She is 16 inches in height and her teddy bear making kit retails at £10.50 each. The Pink Kitty kit comes complete with animal skin with a one-way zipper closing, super soft stuffing, a satin make-a-wish charm, birth certificate, luxury gift bag, party invitation and the bear making instructions. We also received a Teddy Bear Passport, details about this are below.
Building Winnie the Pink Kitty
I helped Little E with her teddy bear making kit. She happily stuffed her bear but she needed help filling the arms. She was fascinated with the stuffing and kept putting it on her cheeks to feel how soft it was. You can see the video we created of us building the bear below.
What We Thought About Our Winnie the Pink Kitty
Little E loves Winne, she now sits proudly on her bed and is now a fixed part of her bedtime routine. The build quality of the bear is very good and she has great details. We have found her back fixing very secure after building her and I was very surprised at her final size. I think she is well worth her £10.50 price tag.
Funky Daddy Frog
Ethan picked Funky Daddy Frog to build, I think he was attracted to his bright bold colours. He is 16 inches in height and his teddy bear making kit retails at £10.00 each. The Funky Daddy Frog kit comes complete with animal skin with a one-way zipper closing, super soft stuffing, a satin make-a-wish charm, birth certificate, luxury gift bag, party invitation and the bear making instructions. We also received a Teddy Bear Passport, details about this are below.
Building Funky Daddy Frog
I helped Ethan with his teddy bear making kit. Like Little E he was fascinated with the stuffing and also put it on his cheeks. He also thought that it looked like clouds. Ethan did need quite a bit of support building his bear but he helped me where possible. This was mostly due to keeping his attention focused. You can see the video we created of us building the bear below.
What We Thought About Our Funky Daddy Frog
Ethan did enjoy building his frog. He doesn’t have the same connection to soft toys like Little E does but he has kept his frog around which is positive. Like Winnie his build quality is very good. We also have found his back fixing very secure after building him. I would happily pay his £10.00 price tag and think he is good value for money.
Teddy Bear Passport
For £4.00 you can also purchase your bear its very own passport. I think this is a lovely idea especially if you are planning to take your bear on any future adventures. I think this would also be a lovely addition to a class bear as you could fill in a page for each visit home.
My Final Thoughts on the Be My Bear Teddy Bear Making Kits
I have always wanted to make a bear with my children but the cost of the experience has always put me off. The fact that we have been able to do this experience in our own home and not had to break the bank is such a positive for me. I love the idea that with Be My Bear not only can you buy a single teddy bear making kit but you can buy party kits for your planned parties. I would love to include this experience in a future birthday party for Little E. They might also be an enjoyed activity at a school fate.
There are so many options on the Be My Bear website for the teddy bear making experience including clothes, sounds and accessories.
