Fisher Price Kick & Play Piano Gym PRODUCT REVIEW

A baby playmat is one of the first toys your little one with have. It’s a great place for them to explore their motor skills and learn how to move around. Choosing the correct baby gym is a minefield, there are so many with so many different options. Little E was asked to put the Fisher-Prick Kick & Play Piano Gym to the test, which she has happily done for the past few weeks.

Our Verdict

The Kick & Play Piano Gym requires self assembly. This was quick and easy to do, I did this on my own and Little E didn’t have to wait long to start testing the gym.

The arch of the gym holds four toys and a mirror. All of the toys are detachable so that they can be moved for the tummy time mode. This also means that you can change the position of the toys regularly to keep the baby’s attention.

The four hanging toys are a hippo teether, elephant clackers, rollerball frog and a crinkle heart. All of the toys are placed at the correct height and Little E hasn’t had any problems working on her motor skills.

Little E found the piano easy to kick and liked the cause and effect music. There are two settings for the piano, long and short play modes with up to 15 minutes of music. It includes a volume control and also has the option of turning the piano off.

For some reason I expected the keys to light up when pressed. They don’t and I’m not sure if this would be a welcomed feature.

The gym mat is smaller than other gyms you can purchase but with a small front room this was welcomed. It is also easy to wipe clean if there are any accidents.

I did wonder if Little E would be restricted with the position of the arch on the mat when she starts to move about, but considering she can make her way around the room without rolling she didn’t have any issues.

We are yet to try the tummy time or sit and play modes, but I’m happy they are included and this gym can grow with Little E.
