I loved the book The Very Hungry Caterpillar when I was a child. It was one of the first books I brought to read to Ethan. Paul Lamond Games have created a Very Hungry Caterpillar Game. It is called Let’s Feed the Very Hungry Caterpillar and we were asked if we would like to review it.
What Is The Let’s Feed the Very Hungry Caterpillar Game?
The Very Hungry Caterpillar Game is a game of counting, collecting and building. The game is aimed at preschoolers aged 3+ and is for 2 to 4 players. It will help your child to practice decision-making. Help develop their counting skills and also improve their fine motor skills.
Whats Included In The Box?
- 4 Caterpillar Pieces
- 20 Butterfly Puzzle Pieces
- 58 Movement Cards
- Game Board
- Instructions
How To Play The Let’s Feed the Very Hungry Caterpillar Game?
The aim of the game is to collect all five puzzle pieces to build a beautiful butterfly. You move your caterpillars around the board from fruit to fruit. The movement cards dictate the amount of spaces you can move on your turn. Every-time your caterpillar stops on a piece of fruit to eat you can collect the corresponding puzzle piece to create your beautiful butterfly.
What Little E loves about the Let’s Feed the Very Hungry Caterpillar Game?
Little E loves the building the puzzle aspect of this game. This might result in cheating on her part to get her puzzle pieces quicker! She loves the 3D caterpillars. She found the concept of the game very easy and enjoys playing it with us.
What We love about the Let’s Feed the Very Hungry Caterpillar Game?
This game is illustrated just like the original Eric Carle book. It’s brightly coloured which means it is very attention grabbing. The movement cards are very easy to use for any younger players. They are illustrated with both numbers and pictures for easy counting. The game is very easy to pick up quickly which is perfect for younger children.
The Let’s Feed the Very Hungry Caterpillar Game has a RRP of £14.95. It is available to buy from Debenhams and the ELC.
