When I think of the brand Silentnight I think of mattresses and my favourite advert on TV when growing up. The advert showed a hippo in blue stripped pajamas settling down to sleep with his friend the little fluffy duck. It was very clever use of the two characters that they made up their logo. The Silentnight logo still uses these characters today. I also remember the huge hippo soft toy that could be found in bed shops. For me it was the highlight of bed shopping. Not that we purchased that many beds, the hippo was obviously a highlight of these shopping trips. When it came to buying our baby bedding Silentnight was not a brand that sprung to mind. With the recent launch of their new range Silentnight Safe Nights Nursery Collection they are hoping to change this.
Regular readers might be wondering why I’m posting about a nursery collection. Don’t worry I’m not hiding pregnancy number three but we have had a new bundle of joy welcomed into our family this year. On Ethan’s 7th birthday I become a great auntie. I’m not sure I’m actually old enough to have a great auntie label yet but it was very exciting news for us all. When I was asked if I would like to blog about the new Silentnight Safe Nights Nursery Collection I knew I would have the perfect person to pass these items on to.
The Silentnight Safe Nights Sleep Bag
I love a baby sleeping bag. We had a few of these for each of our children. I even had to track a large size down for Ethan as he refused any other type of covers for quite a long time. The Silentnight Safe Nights Sleep Bag is a 2.5 tog bag. It is hypoallergenic, with a hollowfibre filling and a 100% cotton cover. The sleep bag comes in two styles, pink or grey stars on a white background. The bag has a middle zip for convenience and extra underarm poppers to ensure a snug fit. It comes in two sizes: 0-6 months and 6-18 months. The RRP is £18.99 and £23.99.
The Silentnight Safe Nights Bubble Fleece Blanket
This Fleece Blanket is lovely and soft, perfect to wrap your baby up in. Featuring star-shaped bubbles on one side and a comforting fluffy fleece on the reverse. It is 100% polyester and is 70 x 90 cm. Available in either pink or grey. The RRP is £13.99.
Other items in the Silentnight Safe Nights Nursery Collection include –

Silentnight state that the products meet the best industry requirements. They are manufactured in OEKO_TEX certified factories, to reassure parents and carers that they have the ultimate seal in safety standards. They are completely breathable and able to retain their shape and colour even after 50 washes (at least). This beautiful collection will be available in all good retailers and can also be found online at Amazon.

Oh I remember that advert as a child too! I didn’t realise they did baby products, I’ll have to check them out as it’s always good to use a name you know and trust!

These products look lovely – I’m exactly like you, when I think of Silent Night I just think of mattresses, quite nice to see them branching out! The designs are so nice and neutral, which will always be a winner!
