This week our word of the week is
We have been very lucky as we have be able to see two fireworks displays this week.
The first was at Legoland Windsor on Saturday night. We booked to visit Legoland for Halloween over a year ago, hoping that we also booked the night of their fireworks and we had. As we were staying at the hotel we also had a firework viewing area allocated which meant Ethan wasn’t crowded and had space to jump around. This was such a bonus and something we wasn’t aware of until we arrived at the hotel.
Last night I took Ethan to view the local firework display. We are very lucky as we can see it just a short walk away from our house, again meaning that Ethan can watch the fireworks without any crowds. Little E was too tired to stay up last night and watch the fireworks so Darren stayed at home with her.
Thankfully Ethan loves fireworks, but then he is mostly a seeker for lights and noise. I know for other autism families fireworks can cause massive meltdowns.
I also love fireworks, they are one of my favorite things about a Disney holiday. The fireworks are a must for me but Disney fireworks can spoil firework displays that are put on in England. Thankfully I wasn’t disappointed with this weeks displays.
So glad that you have enjoyed both the fireworks displays this weeks and that they didn’t disappoint. I can imagine that having a viewing area with lots of space makes it a lot easier for Ethan to enjoy them too. Hope you have a lovely weekend 🙂
Great word! Glad Ethan’s been enjoying them. We saw them at Drayton Manor and loved them, and it’s going to be all about looking out of windows this weekend, I think! Thanks for sharing with #WotW x
We love fireworks too and it sounds like you have had a great time with plenty of fireworks. Legoland must have been amazing! #WoTW
I’m glad that your little one enjoyed the fireworks – they always scare me so he’s a brave little lad!
It sounds like you have had a great time seeing the fireworks…We’re not a fan of them. With my girl being deaf in one ear she doesn’t really like loud noises which irritate her good ear x
Ah I think we Brits can do just as well these days. My daughter just got to see her first fireworks from the window. #WoTW
Yeah! Glad you weren’t disappointed – to be honest there is nothing more of a let down than soggy, dreary fireworks! This time of year is such a fun!
However, this evening as fireworks went off outside our house my girl got out of bed and said “people are so inconsiderate”…made me giggle as it’ll be us tomorrow night out watching the fireworks,
Oh how lucky is that! That’s great that you got to see two firework displays and that Ethan got to enjoy them both.xx
I love the idea of a special viewing area for the hotel guests 🙂 Mine are okay with the fireworks but don’t the crowds and noise of displays, so we have a few low noise ones in the garden 🙂
I know exactly what you mean, there is nothing on Earth like a Disney firework display they are breathtaking, I fact they bring tears to my eyes. I am so glad Ethan loves fireworks as they are so magical. Joe hated fireworks until this year and it was always so hard before. I was so relieved when he finally came round this year x
