What’s more exciting than planning a trip to Walt Disney World? Planning the meals that you are going to have when you are there of course! Now you really do have to plan as reservations open up 180 days in advance. With the popularity of the Disney Dining Plan popular restaurants book up quickly at 180 days. It’s madness I know! For us, character meals are an important part of our trip. It gives you the chance to meet different characters in a relaxed environment. Last year a new character breakfast was introduced the Bon Voyage Adventure Breakfast. This was one of the first character breakfasts to include princes which means it was set to book up fast.
The Bon Voyage Adventure Breakfast
Ariel, Prince Eric, Rapunzel, and Flynn Rider host the Bon Voyage Adventure Breakfast. It is the perfect breakfast for any Little Mermaid and Tangled fans. It takes place at Trattoria al Forno located at Disney’s Boardwalk Resort. This was perfect for us as it was just a walk away from the Beach Club Resort which we called home for two weeks.
The main difference with this breakfast than other character breakfasts we have experienced is that this is a plated breakfast. You start your meal with a fruit salad and a variety of pastries for everyone to share. The great thing about the pastries is they are served in Rapunzel’s frying pan.
You order your breakfast from the menu. We both had the tower of pancakes and the seasonal fruit. The seasonal fruit during our visit were apples. This was absolutely amazing. It was easily the best breakfast we had on this trip to Walt Disney World.
The children had Ariel pancakes that came with a choice of sausage or bacon and fruit. Little E ate all of the fruit and Ethan ate all of the pancakes.
Our Character Interaction Experience
We had fantastic character interaction at our breakfast. All of them took time with the children to talk to them and sign their autograph books. It was great being able to meet the princes too making this a great breakfast for all of the family. Flynn Rider was very funny and there was even a bit of rivalry going on between him and Prince Eric.
The below video shows our time at the Bon Voyage Adventure Breakfast.
Would We Return To The Bon Voyage Adventure Breakfast
We really loved this breakfast. It was booked for one of the more relaxed days of our trip. We didn’t feel rushed and it didn’t feel busy. Being outside of a park also means that you can eat here without a park ticket. You can even talk to EPCOT or Hollywood Studios from here if you wanted to. If we ever return to Walt Disney World with the Disney Dining Plan I think this breakfast would be on our list again. It really was a highlight of the trip for us.
this one definitely looks fun, and to be able to walk to Epcot afterwards is a big bonus I think.
This was easily one of the best breakfasts we had x
