In the blink of an eye, April is over and we are now heading into May and Ethan’s 9th Birthday celebrations. Nine, where have those years gone! April was very good for our siblings. They were very lucky and in the words of Little E, we went on lots of adventures. Ethan also started the month off on a high as he won the schools term merit trophy for being such a good boy.
He was so proud of his trophy and kept it by his side for a good two days. He has come so far this year and we are so glad the throwing stage has passed.
Our first week of the Easter holidays were very busy and they started with a trip to Drayton Manor. I had wanted to take Ethan to Thomas Land for quite some time and they very kindly invited us to review a day out there. This did mean that we stayed at the Drayton Manor Hotel which added to the children’s fun. It was also the furthest journey Ethan had ever made in the car. He traveled so well which made it more enjoyable for us.
The children loved Thomas Land. There was a great mix of rides for them both to enjoy. We also got to witness how Little E teaches her brother things without even
Our next trip was to Drusillas. They have a new Rainforest Carousel ride there that they wanted us to review. We had visited Drusillas when Ethan was small and I knew Little E would love the Hello Kitty area. She had lots of fun driving him around in the Hello Kitty car. We took advantage of the zoo being quiet and let the children go on some of the rides without us.
Our last outing of the Easter Holiday was to the Stonham Barns AMP Theatre. We had reviewed the amazing Christmas Show in December. During the Easter holiday, they had a pirate adventure show on, Journey to Treasure Island! We were very lucky to be invited back to see this show too.
It was so nice having the time with our siblings and we were so lucky that we could fill this time with great adventures.
The second week of our holiday was much quieter. Ethan had some respite at school which meant that I had some time on my own with Little E. She was sent some lovely Easter gifts from LOL SURPRISE which included everything we needed for an Easter egg hunt.
She also had gifts from Num Noms and we made some Easter Egg Bark together.
We also visited Colchester Zoo together. Little E fed the goats for the first time. I told her that next time we visit we could feed the elephants and giraffes just like her brother did.
The return to school was pretty painless but it won’t be long before the children are off for the May half-term holiday. We have another exciting adventure planned for then, our return to Disneyland Paris. The children know about it and are very excited. We have our Mickey ears ready to go!
