I haven’t done any crafting for quite a few years now, but fell in love with these Christmas Tree People from HobbyCraft as soon as I saw them. Luckily not only was Ethan sent an item to review but so was I, so this afternoon I had my very own crafting time.
This kit contains everything you need to make the tree people decorations apart from glue, scissors and a general sewing kit.
The instructions are easy to follow and I started by sewing two felt Christmas trees together using a blanket stitch. The instructions show you how to create the different stitches required to complete the decorations.
Next I had to create the legs of the tree people, gluing two large beads on the end for feet.
I deviated from the instructions a little, and glued the faces and other beads onto the trees whilst I waited for the feet to dry on the legs I had made.
With all the beads dried and stuck in position, it was time to sew the legs into position.
I’m so proud of my tree people decorations, I can’t wait to put them on our Christmas tree. Ethan also likes them as he keeps bringing them over to the sofa to sit with him.
They took me just under two hours to complete, this included waiting for the glue to dry. I really enjoyed my craft afternoon, I might have to make some more decorations for our tree.
