During our time of home schooling, Learning Resources sent quite a few items to help us. Little E had fun learning to code with bunnies. We have been using Sight Word Swat to help with our sight word recognition. To help Ethan develop his life skills we also received the money activity set to review.

Using The Learning Resources Money Activity Set
What makes this set so great is that it creates three different levels of learning. With the number of different items included, there are so many ways to play.
Learning The Money Basics
The first way to play is with an introduction to money. You can use the coins and notes to discuss their shape, size, colour, and images. Use them to introduce their value and how much they are worth.
The spinner can help with this stage. It is double-sided to represent both sides of the coins. The included activity guide includes a game that you can play with this spinner.
Starting To Learn More About Money Values
The activity guide includes five different games to play to teach children how to create £1.00 with different lower value coins. These games give you the chance to use the coins, the spinner, the piggy bank card, the puzzle cards, and the price tags.
Using Money To Create Higher Cash Values
The activity guide includes four different games to play to teach children about higher cash values. They would have gained confidence adding coins together playing the previous games in the set. These games will teach then more difficult concepts. These will include giving change form the coins and the notes.
What Do We Love About The Learning Resources Money Activity Set?
The thing that really stood out with us in this set is how realistic the money is. Obliviously you can tell that it is toy money but the attention to detail is amazing.
We love that the activity guide gives you so many different ways to play. No matter what age or ability you will be able to find a way to incorporate learning about money through play.
Due to our children’s ability, this is really a set that they will grow into over the years. It is a game that is going to last for a good few years and can always change as abilities change.
This really is a great set to teach you life skills. It is perfect for Ethan to help him learn about the world around him.
