What’s the best thing about having a Disney Fairy Tale Wedding?
Photos in-front of Cinderella’s castle in your wedding dress!
Well obviously it’s not the only best thing, as we had an amazing day and we enjoyed every moment of it, but I knew a Magic Kingdom Bridal Photo Shoot would be the icing on the cake.
Disney has a rule when it comes to Wedding Dresses in the Magic Kingdom park, you are not aloud to wear them. I had heard it’s because they don’t want the young children to think you are a princess. I have seen people bend the rules when attending the Halloween Parties and saying it’s their fancy dress costume, sometimes you have to think outside of the box!
The only way you can officially wear your dress in the Magic Kingdom park is if you have your ceremony there, or if you book the Magic Kingdom Bridal Shoot.
The bridal shoots are booked for either 5 or 6 in the morning so that they can get you into the park before it is open to the public and no one sees you. Disney also have a rule that no brides should see each other so they will only have one or two of these shoots a day.
We actually did see another bride on the morning of our photo shoot. The couple wanted to have their photos in-front of the castle whilst it was illuminated blue, and it was when we were having our photos taken. The photographer asked us if we would mind if they did this, we of course didn’t have any problem seeing another couple.
To be ready in time for our photo shoot I was having my hair and make-up done at 3 am. Thankfully this is done in your hotel room. At 5 am we were picked up and taken to the Magic Kingdom.
We decided to have these photos taken two days after our wedding, some couples do have it on the day of their wedding. I’m glad we did it later as I needed to sleep in the afternoon after getting up so early to get ready, that’s not something that you really want to do on your wedding day.
We were in the Magic Kingdom for over an hour, it was a fantastic experience being one of the few people in the park when it was so quiet. The only way you can experience it as quiet as this, is to book a breakfast reservation in the park.
I love our Magic Kingdom photos as it wasn’t just about having the photos taken it was the whole experience, and I knew we would never have this opportunity again.
What an adorable post and amazing photos, I had no idea you had been out there. It looks magical in every way and wow that is a story to tell! #Whatsthestory
Thank you, it was a while ago now but I love remembering our day. Would love to do it again ;0)
