Little E was very lucky and was sent an early Christmas present this week. She was sent the Pony Club Lottie Doll and Stables to review. Little E loves horses so I knew this toy was going to be a hit.
I wrapped the gifts for her to add to her special surprise. She is getting a little confused about Christmas gifts and Father Christmas as she has asked him for a Minnie Mouse Cat and wasn’t sure why this gift wasn’t that. Thankfully when she spotted Seren the Welsh Mountain Pony she forgot about her gift request.
Lottie
This Lottie doll is dressed and ready for pony club. She is wearing riding jodphurs, a tweed-style formal riding jacket and a shirt and tie. She also comes with riding boots and a riding helmet. What I really like is that the riding boots are designed to be taken on and off very easily. Perfect for Little E’s tiny hands. I remember doll shoes being such an issue when I was a child. The riding helmet is also easy to fit and keep on with a very sturdy chin strap in place.
Lottie is also fully jointed and you can even bend her legs at her knees. I was very surprised at this as other little dolls that we have can’t do this and are in a fixed position. Being poseable makes it very easy for Lottie to be placed on her pony Seren.
Seren the Welsh Mountain Pony
Seren comes equipped with a saddle, bridle, stirrups and numnah. A numnah is a saddle pad that acts as a protective cushion between the pony and the saddle.
Seren isn’t fully poseable but I think that is perfect for little hands wanting to play. I think if his legs moved and he couldn’t hold still when being played with this could cause some distress.
Lottie’s Greendale Farm Stables
The Lottie stables are made from real wood that have to be assembled at home. This was very quick and simple to do. You will need your own screwdriver but everything else is provided in the box.
The stables include two stalls that have traditional opening half style doors. There is also a horse tack room with bench, shelf and hanging hooks. The roof is removable giving you easy access for play. There are amazing details on the stables and it has fully detailed doors with a working wood bolt latch. The stable also comes with a drinking trough and four freestanding wooden fences.
What We Love About Pony Club Lottie Doll and Stables
We love that Lottie is fully poseable and easy to dress for little hands. Little E loves Seren the Welsh Mountain Pony and loves getting him ready to go riding. She can easily take of his saddle and bridle but does need a little helping hand putting them back on.
The stables are amazing and the fact that they are made of real wood really add to their charm. When built the final size of the stables are a perfect size for play. The fact that the roof can be removed makes accesses inside the stables very easy.
Both children have really loved playing with the pony club Lottie doll and stables. They have moved different animals into the stables too and it has really brought out some imaginative play. Ethan calls the stable his farm and it has even made them play together.
