    Autism And The Washing Machine

When we were going through Ethan’s autism diagnosis we were asked if he showed an interest in the washing machine. I thought this was a weird question and didn’t understand it at the time. It turns out that an autistic trait can be an intense interest in washing machines. Ethan’s interest at that time was just watching the drum spin as it run a cycle. Autism and the Tiger Meltdown

On Friday we decided to take Ethan to Colchester Zoo. Partly because he needed to get out of the house and partly because he had been asking to go there. Being that we didn’t have Little E with us we decided to let Ethan pick our route around the zoo. He had energy to burn and we thought it would be a good way to do it. Her reasons being that Ethan wouldn’t notice another sibling because he lives in his own little world. He can’t or wouldn’t show any empathy and don’t even…
