Our Center Parcs Winter Wonderland Weekend

For the previous two years our Christmas activity has been to visit Lapland UK. Darren wanted a change last December and as Ethan loves Center Parcs we thought we would visit the Center Parcs Winter Wonderland. As Darren’s shift pattern meant that he would be working on both Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, we thought it would be a nice way to spend quality time together. We booked to go for a three night stay over the second weekend in December. Ethan was granted the time off of school so we were able to take advantage of the full four days there. We had originally intended to leave after school…

Center Parcs Festive Teddy Bears’ Picnic

When we first visited Center Parcs I noticed that there was a Teddy Bears’ Picnic activity for younger children. Little E was too young for it and we didn’t think it would be the right thing for Ethan to take part in. Fast forward two years and we were able to book the Festive Teddy Bears’ Picnic that takes place during the Winter Wonderland dates. Ethan was booked into the Activity Den for a Jingle Jolly Party Hour. Which meant that we had the chance to attend the Festive Teddy Bears’ Picnic with Little E. The Teddy Bears’ Picnic started with us all going for a short walk to look for…

    Center Parcs Elf Academy

One of the activities we booked for Ethan during our Center Parcs Winter Wonderland stay was the Elf Academy. This  is a three-hour activity in the Activity Den. It is a children’s only activity meaning you can have some child free time. During the Elf Academy the children are invited to learn how to become Santa’s helpers. When we arrived at our lodge there was an invitation waiting for Ethan. It was an early morning activity so we were up bright and early. We have already arranged Ethan’s one to one support so our hand over was easy when we arrived. The children are provided with an Elf Costume and…

    Meeting Santa At Center Parcs

Last December we booked a weekend at Elveden Forest Center Parcs to visit their Winter Wonderland. We booked a few festive activities for the children to take part in. However no Winter Wonderland break would be complete without a visit to Santa. This is our experience of meeting Santa at Center Parcs. Weather wise we had great weather during our weekend stay. Typically when it was time for us to walk to Santa’s Woodland Workshop to meet the main man himself it rained. Thankfully we had suitable clothing for the weather but the rain meant we couldn’t really enjoy the outside of Santa’s Woodland Workshop. When we checked into Santa’s Woodland…

Center Parcs Childcare Support For Children With Autism

When you visit Center Parcs you discover that there are a list of activities that you can take part in. On our first visit to Elveden Forest Center Parcs we noticed that they offered a childcare option. Being that it was our first holiday together as a four we felt guilty thinking about putting Little E in the nursery there. She hadn’t started nursery yet and I didn’t want to upset her. Ethan also hadn’t started school and we wasn’t sure if they could offer him the support he needed. At that time we wasn’t really comfortable with the whole respite idea. We wanted to enjoy our family break together…
