Walt Disney World – Day 6 – Hollywood Studios – Lunch & Honey I Shrunk The Kids Playground

After having lots of fun meeting all the characters and making new friends it was time to stop for something to eat. We decided to head over to the Studio Catering Company as I remember reading that they had recently changed their menus to healthier options and you can only take so many days of burgers! Both Darren and I decided on the chicken caesar wrap and Ethan had our chips.

Next door to the restaurant is the Honey I Shrunk The Kids Playground so we decided to head in there for a bit so that Ethan could let off some steam.

Honey I Shrunk The Kids Playground
This playground is built around the garden movie set so you are surrounded by huge blades of grass and over sized objects to give you the impression that you have been shrunk like the children in the film.

The playground was full of children running around everywhere and massive slides and climbing frames that we didn’t have easy access to. Ethan’s balance isn’t great so he is always falling over and he also has no fear and sees the funny side of things so jumping off the top of a slide is great fun! This means for our own sanity we like to keep him close without restricting him so you can imagine we had a lot of fun trying to do that here.

As you can see Ethan had lots of fun and kept us on our toes!

I think we lasted about thirty minutes before our nerves were totally shot to pieces and we decided to head back to the hotel for Ethan’s afternoon nap.

We found another photopass photographer on the way out of the park and stopped for more family photos before heading to the bus stop.
