Staying At The Drayton Manor Hotel When Visiting Thomas Land

When we visited Thomas Land during the Easter Holidays I booked two nights at the Drayton Manor Hotel to make our visit as easy as possible for the children. This would be the children’s longest car journey to any place that we had visited. By booking two nights the children could rest on the travel day. Giving us a full day in Drayton Manor before driving back home after another night of rest.

Available Rooms At The Drayton Manor Hotel

There is a great choice of rooms available at the Drayton Manor Hotel. Giving you lots of options to suit your budget. These include Thomas & Friends Themed Rooms, Family Rooms, Family Deluxe Rooms, Presidential Rooms, Executive Rooms, Accessible Rooms, and Triple Rooms.

Each room offers you a full English breakfast, a hairdryer, blackout curtains, an iron with ironing board, a mini fridge, a laptop safe, complimentary parking, air conditioning, and complimentary wireless internet access as standard. The presidential and executive rooms do come with some added extras too.

The room was perfect for our needs and we were surprised at how big it was.

We booked the bed and breakfast package at the hotel. The theme park tickets were a gift in exchange for our review. Booking early gave us a 20% discount applied to our bed and breakfast room price.

There are also stay and play packages available. These giv you a days entrance to the Drayton Manor theme park on your arrival or departure day.

Hotel Location

The hotel is located near entrance one of the theme park. If staying at the hotel you get free parking in their car park. Driving into Drayton Manor you will easily spot the hotel and the hotel car park signs to follow.

Places To Eat

Included in your stay is a full English breakfast. Served buffet style in the hotel restaurant. There are also breakfast items you can order from the main menu if you fancy something a little different.

There are two restaurant options for main meals. Inside the hotel, you will find the Parklands Restaurant. Just across the car park, by the theme park entrance is The Grill Inn. We ate in both restaurants. They both catered really well for the children and we enjoyed all the meals that we ate during our stay.

Thomas & Friends Theming

Being that Drayton Manor is the home of Thomas Land and you can book into Thomas & Friends Themed Rooms at the hotel. There is Thomas & Friends theming around the hotel. There is a lovely miniature carousel on display as you enter the hotel reception. The children can press a button which activates the carousel.

There are also Thomas & Friends dotted around the hotel. This theming is quite subtle so if your stay at the Drayton Manor hotel isn’t to visit Thomas you won’t be overwhelmed.

Our Stay At The Drayton Manor Hotel

We were pleasantly surprised with the Drayton Manor Hotel and all it has to offer. It is set in lovely grounds meaning there is a nice outdoor space for children to let off some steam. There is also enough seating that you can enjoy a drink outside if the weather is right.

The hotel also supplies a children’s entertainment programme in the evening. Little E has an amazing time dancing in the child-friendly disco.

We were very happy with our room. It had a great size bathroom, perfect for the whole family. There was also lots of storage for all of our possessions.

We also loved the choice of restaurants to eat in. Our family can be quite difficult to please at dinner time. We normally have trouble finding options that everyone will eat!

The children loved their time at Thomas Land including their stay at the hotel. They have already told me that they want to visit again in the future.
