As a special Mothers Day treat Red Letter Days sent both my mum and me on a special day out in London. This included an afternoon tea at the Waterloo Sky Bar and a trip on The London Eye.
After our afternoon
Arriving at the London Eye we had to take this voucher to the ticket office to exchange it for our boarding tickets. This was a very simple process. With our boarding tickets issued we were able to join the entrance queue.
When we have visited Shrek’s Adventure in the school holidays this queue had been very long for the London Eye. Easily over an hour wait. They told us it would be about a twenty-minute wait on the day of
I know that our son would love to visit the London Eye but I also know that he wouldn’t be able to handle the queuing time. I did ask if they had a process in place for people with autism. If you bring your diagnosis documentation to the ticket office your party will be issued with fast track tickets for the queue. This should then reduce the waiting time to board. Hopefully, we will be able to visit again in the future as a family.
Our Trip On The London Eye
Boarding was pretty painless. The capsules keep moving as you board but it is slow
It was a very windy day in London on the day of our visit and I could feel the London Eye slightly moving by it. Thankfully it wasn’t too bad and I’m sure they would have stopped people boarding if they thought the weather would cause a problem.
Apart from the strong winds, we had a very clear day to view London. It was amazing being able to see all of the London landmarks.
Our trip lasted approximately thirty minutes.
We had a lovely day out with Red Letter Days it was so nice getting some mother and daughter time.
