We have been so busy this December that I haven’t had a chance to write a post about our Christmas tree. This is something I do tend to do every year so even though it is after Christmas I wanted to share our 2019 Christmas tree so that I can look back on this post in the future.
Last year we were lucky enough to be sent a real tree to review. That is the first time we had ever had a real tree but decided against a real tree again this year. Our old artificial tree really did need to be replaced. Some of the branches were on their last legs. I had seen that Balsam Hill was having a Black Friday sale. We kept our eye on the prices and treated ourselves to a brand new snow-covered tree.
This year we let the children help us put up the tree. As soon as Ethan knew it was December he kept asking about a Christmas tree and telling us where he expected it to go. We kept telling him that our 2019 Christmas tree was on order and would arrive soon. Putting up the Christmas tree did cause Ethan to have a meltdown but I’m glad that we got them both involved this year. As a child, I used to love putting up the Christmas tree.
Our New 2019 Christmas Tree Decorations
This year we made sure we got some new Disney decorations during our trip to Disneyland Paris in May. We needed to replace some of the decorations we brought during our wedding trip over eleven years ago.
We had a Mickey and Minnie Mouse that was dressed as Santa but had moving arms and legs. They didn’t have the same decorations in Disneyland Paris so brought these ones instead.
I also got a Mickey Mouse Nutcracker.
The other Disney decorations that we purchased there were really for Little E. I found a Maire one and a Minnie Mouse bauble that also had Figaro in.
We were also able to add another personalised decoration to our Christmas tree this year thanks to Funky Pigeon. The picture in this bauble was taken during our trip to Norway in August.
