At the start of 2020, we didn’t expect that we would be embarking on a home schooling journey. What Is OSMO?
OSMO is an iPad accessory that gives you hands-on learning. OSMO achieves this with games that use objects in the real world. These objects interact with the digital world shown on the iPad.

The OSMO Genius Kit Games
Tangram
Tangram is perfect for developing visual thinking skills. The app contains 500+ visual and spatial puzzles. You play the game by arranging the real wooden puzzle pieces to match the puzzle design on the iPad screen.
Numbers
Numbers is a freestyle math app. It lets you play and explore math in an open-ended environment. You play the game by using the numbers tiles. Making the sum in the bubbles to make them pop.
Words
With the Words app, you guess and spell the hidden words. You play the game by using the word tiles. Placing the letters down that you think are missing.
Masterpiece
With the Masterpiece app you can draw anything and everything. You play the game by placing white paper in-front of the OSMO play area. Then you can draw freely and make your own creations or use the templates for ideas. Keep an eye on the iPad for interactive fun.
Newton
Newton is a creative problem-solving app. It has 60+ levels of creative engineering to discover. You play the app by placing white paper in-front of the OSMO play area. You must then guide the virtual balls around the iPad screen by placing marks on the paper.
Which Devices Are Compatible With OSMO?
To use OSMO you need a compatible device. OSMO works with most iPads and Amazon Fire tablets. The OSMO Frequently Asked Questions page lists all of the available compatible devices.
You can purchase iPad’s from many online stores including AGROS*, ao.com*, and Very*. Amazon Fire tablets are available to purchase online at Amazon*.
PLEASE NOTE Compatible devices do not come in the OSMO sets. You must purchase one separately.
Little E’s Home Learning With OSMO
As time has gone on Little E has started to struggle with home learning. She was finding it hard to engage and it has started to become a bit of a battleground. OSMO has transformed this! She absolutely loves it and finds it so engaging. What has really surprised us is how much she loves the Numbers game, that is the area she was struggling with the most.
In the Masterpiece app, we have also found templates that are helping her practice her writing. This means that OSMO is also working on those important fine motor skills.

What Do I Love About Home Learning With OSMO?
OSMO is the perfect app that takes the guilt away from your children being on the iPad. It is an amazing learning app and there are so many different add on games available.
Not only can you see the fun your child is having with OSMO there is a special app just for parents. The OSMO Parent app sends you updates of your child’s learning. Using the app you can see the progress they are making whilst playing with OSMO.
OSMO really is an amazing piece of kit and we will definitely be adding to our OSMO collection*.
