Being that Darren’s birthday is in January, not long after Christmas, his birthday normally comes and goes with not much more than a birthday cake and cards. This year it had to be different because this year he turned forty, we couldn’t let that pass without marking the occasion.
We discussed in length how Darren wanted to celebrate his big day. We discussed party options and meal options but with Ethan’s needs and an 18 month in tow we didn’t feel that it would be a very enjoyable experience for us all. Our family isn’t easy and everything has to be planned with military precision.
We discovered that the Aqua Sana Spa at Center Parcs has luxury spa suites for overnight spa breaks. Darren decided a child free break was what he wanted for his birthday.
The breaks are sold as a package. Included in the break are a luxury signature treatment, lunch in the Cafe, £40 worth of vouchers towards a meal in the village and breakfast which can be delivered to your suite.
You are emailed by the Spa coordinator as soon as you book to confirm the details of your break. Everything is accounted for and you are even given the option to upgrade or book extra treatments. We also added a couples massage onto our break.
You are treated like true VIPs as soon as you arrive at the Aqua Sana Spa, there are even VIP parking spaces for the Spa Suites. We were welcomed into the Spa coordinator’s office and offered drinks of our choice before being shown around the Spa and to our lockers. We couldn’t check into our suite until after 2pm, we had a treatment booked at this time so arranged to be checked in at 3pm.
The spa suites are amazing, they are like a self-contained apartment. There were also chocolate strawberries waiting for us in the fridge and even a DVD for us to watch.
The spa suites are linked directly to the Aqua Sana Spa so you are free to come and go as you please.
We really enjoyed our break at the Aqua Sana Spa. It was so nice being able to think just about ourselves for once. We also walked into the village and had a fantastic meal at Rajinda Pradesh. We haven’t been able to eat a meal out and be able to talk to each other for quite a while!
We have a family holiday booked in May and we are so looking forward to our return to Center Parcs.
Oh, that is such a treat! We loved Center Parcs when we were living in the UK and I would always book myself at least one session in the Spa while we were there. So lovely! I hadn’t realised that they had apartments attached for the spa breaks… they look fabulous. I hope you the best time, you guys deserve it. Thank you so much for sharing with #ThePrompt x
That suite looks amazing! How lovely for you to have such a luxurious break away x
