At three months old Little E started to show signs that she wanted to sit up and see the world. She would cry when laying down and even in her bouncer until she was held in a sitting position. So we thought about the option of getting her a baby seat. Ethan did have a well known brand but he never got on with it, so I was pleased to see that Fisher Price have made the Fisher-Price Sit Me Up Floor Seat giving parents a different choice.

Our Verdict
The Sit Me Up Floor Seat requires self assembly. It is very easy to put together as the pieces just click into place. The seat pad attachments also pop into place but they can be a little fiddly. It took me about ten minutes to put together.
When assembled the seat can fold flat for storage. This is easily achieved by pressing the yellow buttons on the side of the seat.
When in the correct sitting position the seat is nice and sturdy with no fear of not being secure.
It was easy to position Little E into the seat. The seat pad also creates a nice support for Little E’s legs they aren’t just left to dangle, perfect for a baby of her age.
The back of the seat is nice and high giving her perfect support.
There are two toys that attach to the seat, a teether and a butterfly with crinkle wings. These can be removed and interchanged with other toys from the range.
As soon as Little E is put in the seat she reaches out for these toys practising those all important motor skills.
We really like the Sit Me Up seat as it is nice a comfortable for Little E. It is perfect for her to sit in whilst I play with Ethan, it makes it feel like she is joining in. It is also going to be perfect for her to sit in when we start the weaning journey.
Little E’s Verdict
I think she is quite amused by being able to sit up in her chair, it is definitely a different view for her. She is quite happy to sit in her chair but at the moment we are keeping this to small amounts of time so she can build up her core strength.
