We recently reviewed the BRAUN Thermometer ThermoScan 7. It’s a product we trust and love using. BRAUN has added another thermometer to their range, the BRAUN No Touch and Forehead Thermometer. They wanted us to put this one to the test too.

BRAUN No Touch and Forehead Thermometer
The BRAUN No Touch and Forehead Thermometer is the first-ever thermometer to give you the convenience of two clinically proven options to take a temperature. The completely non-invasive no touch option, or the traditional forehead touch.
This thermometer is suitable from birth and it is quick and easy to use. It uses a colour-coded screen to indicate the taken temperature. This screen also illuminates so that it can be used in dark rooms. There is also a guidance system to make sure the thermometer is in the correct position to read the temperature.
What’s Included In The Box?
- 1 x BRAUN No Touch and Forehead Thermometer
- 1 x Protective cap
- 2 x 1.5v AA batteries
Using The BRAUN No Touch and Forehead Thermometer
Touch Mode – When the thermometer is switched on you place it in position on the forehead. There is a positional guide on the thermometer and also a light that can be used for guidance, so you know you have it in the correct position.
You press the start button when ready and after a few minutes, the thermometer will give you the temperature reading.
The screen will also change colour depending on this measurement
- Green – Normal temperature
- Yellow – Elevated temperature
- Red – High temperature
Ethan had a slightly elevated temperature so the colour displayed was yellow.
No Touch Mode – For the no-touch mode the thermometer can be held up to 5 cm away from the forehead.
The positional guide helps to make sure you are in the right position to take the temperature.
You press the start button when ready and after a few minutes, the thermometer will give you the temperature reading.
The screen will also change colour depending on this measurement
- Green – Normal temperature
- Yellow – Elevated temperature
- Red – High temperature
Little E’s temperature was fine so the colour shown was green.
The non-touch mode is perfect is you need to keep track of your child’s temperature when they are sleeping. You can switch the thermometer to no sound mode so it doesn’t beep when giving the temperature reading.
What Do We Love About The BRAUN No Touch and Forehead Thermometer
Another fantastic BRAUN thermometer and one that is perfect for a child that has sensory issues.
Sometimes Ethan won’t let us near him if he is ill. There have been times when we have had to hold him still to use the in-ear thermometer. This can cause some distress, having the option of not needing the thermometer to touch Ethan to take his temperature is an added bonus.
I also know that this will also help to monitor our children through the night if ever they have a high temperature in the future. I remember praying not to wake Ethan when he was ill with tonsillitis, wanting him to sleep as much as he could so that he could get better. The night light and no sound mode will also make monitoring temperatures through the night easy.
We also love the colour-coded fever guide as one quick look is all it takes to know if you have a fever or not.

That sounds like a great product – love the no-touch option so you don’t disturb a sleeping child to check their temperature, what a good idea. The colour coding also sounds very useful too.
This looks brilliant. Will be saving up my Boots advantage points for one of these (might take a while!)
Excellent way of obtaining an accurate temperature reading when there are sensory issues.
