I have noticed that things around here have been getting a little tougher with Ethan and I can only blame myself. November is a really busy month for us and it has really thrown me, and I’m feeling even less organised than before.
Ethan must be able to feel these tensions and we are having more meltdowns than normal. I also know that they have really stepped up the use of visuals at Ethan’s nursery and at home we are lacking behind. I feel that we are expecting Ethan do to things for us but we are not giving him any visuals to show him what we want. This is therefore causing a lack of communication for all of us.
The thing is I have a list of visuals that I want to create as long as my arm, but there just isn’t enough time in the day.
Then I discovered Twinkl on twitter, they were looking for bloggers to review their resources.
Twinkl Resources are the trusted home and one stop shop for thousands of lovely, unique, printable teaching resources for Early Years, Key Stage 1, Key Stage 2, teachers, home educators, parents, childminders, nurseries and more.
I had a look around their website and found a fantastic section for SEN (Special Educational Needs). What a perfect resource for our current dilemma.
Not only do Twinkl give you access to fantastic resources there is also a forum that you can use to talk to other members to ask for advice and share your experiences with.
There are three subscription levels offered on the Twinkl site,
- free membership that allows access to the majority of the resources,
- Gold membership at £24.99 a year,
- Platinum membership which allows access to all of the resources at £39.99 per year.
